BELGRADE CENTER FOR HUMAN RIGHTS INVITES ALL YOUNG PEOPLE WHO NEED CREATIVE EXPRESSION TO BECOME PART OF A NEW INTERACTIVE PERFORMANCE!
The play will be created through research and a guided process, during which the participants will deal with the topic of extremism, exploring the causes, consequences and possible ways to fight against extremism. During the process, facilitators will use the techniques of the Theater of the Oppressed, such as the Image Theater, Forum Theater and other techniques. The performance will be interactive, with active involvement of the audience.
Creative team leading the process:
▫️ Demir Mekić – sociologist, youth worker and practitioner of the Theater of the Oppressed,
▫️ Branka Bajić Jovanov – drama pedagogue, applied theater expert and actress,
▫️ Jelena Vuksanović – playwright and dramatist.
WORK DYNAMICS
Work on the preparation of the performance, workshops and rehearsals will be held at least twice a week from the end of June (with a break during August) to the middle of November, at the times agreed with the performers. Rehearsals can be held more often in the period October-November.
WHO IS THE CALL FOR
The invitation is intended for everyone who is between 18 and 35 years old and who has a need for creative expression. We especially encourage motivated young people with certain performance experience (acting, music, performance, dance, etc.), as well as young activists who want to contribute to the fight against extremism in this way.

The audition will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 12:00 in the House of Human Rights and Democracy, in Belgrade.
