Waiting for the Rain

The performance is the result of a six-month process-based creative work, which through six scenes explores different forms of ageism – from structural and social to institutional. Through everyday situations in which older people experience marginalization and indifference, the performance sheds light on how social and systemic mechanisms affect their lives and dignity.

This socially engaged piece features citizens of Novi Sad aged 17 to 79, inviting the audience to reconsider their attitudes toward older people and the challenges of ageing. The performance highlights the importance of social responsibility and intergenerational solidarity, while calling for active engagement in the fight against ageism.
